Artist's Description
The Kea is the only Alpine parrot in the world. They are very clever and can solve logical puzzles. It loves to strip a car of it's rubber parts. If you can never park your own car near these mountain birds if you want to keep it intact.This must be a juvenile as it has yellow eyerings.
About Steve Taylor
I love working in New Zealand as there is always something new to excite me. I learned the hard way with film B/W, colour negatives and slides and now love the freedom that digital cameras can give you. As I am often several months behind when I start working on my pictures I am often surprised and excited at what I find. Each individual has to be adapted depending on the subject; sometimes they are nearly untouched and others have hours of creative changes to get them looking perfect.
