Description
This broken room was part of the Northern tower of the Christchurch Basilica. Can you imagine the rising winter sun casting a pink glow across the ceiling and corner wall, which slowly moved down as the the sun ascended.

Browsed through your Christchurch gallery; sad, but intriguing captures. This one particularly caught my eye, and I wanted to share. We visited Christchurch after both earthquakes, and the cathedral will always haunt. l/f/tw

Beautiful window into that terrible earth quake. We were visiting in Akaroa when the March 2011 earth quake hit. We were so sad for Christchurch and everyone. Browsing through all of your earth quake photos brought it all back. It was very scary. Hope everything is back to normal as much as can be by now. Thank-you for sharing all of images.
