Description
Bees have five eyes. There are two compound eyes and three very much smaller ocelli eyes. Ocelli is from the Latin word ocellus and means little eye. These are simple eyes that bees use to orientate themselves towards the sun. They are located in a triangular shape. There are two dorsal ocelli and one central ocelli.
