This is one of the biggest excavators I have seen in Christchurch. It was used to demolish the earthquake damaged QEII stadium and swimming pools. The company that hired several cranes on the site, Mainzeal went into liquidation and several cranes were left hanging about waiting for someone to transport them away.
I love working in New Zealand as there is always something new to excite me. I learned the hard way with film B/W, colour negatives and slides and now love the freedom that digital cameras can give you. As I am often several months behind when I start working on my pictures I am often surprised and excited at what I find. Each individual has to be adapted depending on the subject; sometimes they are nearly untouched and others have hours of creative changes to get them looking perfect.

I love how you used texture and color to turn this working excavator into a piece of art. Love it! LF

I just had to show this real life excavator to my husband. He like it so well that he wants to know how much would you sell it for? Because he has a big job to do! He has a lot of dirt to dig out! Lol. . . I hope you don't mind the joke. . . I couldn't resist.

I love this one Steve. This has a special feeling for me because my husband is a heavy equipment operator. This has great projection and perspective from small and to big end. I can see that the excavator is actually digging or about to. Love it, love it . . . AND LOVE IT!!!!
